Ya, like I’m gonna go wait in line for 3 hours, after stalking the parking lot for an hour looking for a spot and battling my way through the aisles! Ha.

As I previously mentioned, my fiancé and I have been together for over 10 years and are getting married next month. I have been told I’m the opposite of bridezilla. I don’t really care! The only thing I care about is getting the marriage certificate! And cake, of course I care about the cake!
We are paying for it ourselves and we are obviously on a budget since I’m not working. The whole day will be between $3000-$3500. Town hall ceremony, dinner for our closest friends and family, favors and cake! I am excited about my dress, too. It fits perfectly and its sooo pretty! And, no that is not me in the picture!
I am starting a new venture in life! I recently lost my job and had to make some life changing decisions. Share my story and take this new journey with me.
Let me start with a little background info: During high school, I made a choice to not attend college, instead I received vocational training in Cosmetology. I started a very successful and lucrative career as a stylist. At 23, I met the love of my life, and at 24 we had a child. After my pregnancy, I developed a problem with chronic knee pain, which forced me to change my career. I began working as an adult education vocational teacher, until I lost my job last month. As I started my new job search I was forced to make big decisions for me and my family.
1. We are getting married! After being together for over 10 years, we are getting married next month. One thing I learned: planning a wedding is torture! I will share more on this in future posts!
2. I am going back to school! I am finally going to get the degree I never got. Very exciting, but very nerve racking! I know that I can be successful as a college student, but what if my family can’t afford the financial burden??
3. For the first time ever, I have the chance to put my family first. I have been working since I am a teenager. I have mostly been the bread winner of my family, so work always came first. I am excited to be a stay at home mom, even if it is only temporary.
I can’t wait to see where I end up!
