Thanksgiving Day

I LOVE THANKSGIVING! Mainly because I live to eat, so what’s better than a day devoted to eating rich, fatty, heart-stopping food! Stuffing, cranberries, candied yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, broccoli quiche, corn pudding, it’s all so exciting. As you may have noticed, I did not add turkey to my list. Generally, I like turkey, however, I have 2 reasons for leaving out the Thanksgiving turkey:

1)Why waste valuable tummy space that could be better used on mashed potatoes drenched in gravy?!

2)My future mother-in-law has discovered a way of cooking the turkey to the point of powder. I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about. The meat has been over cooked for so long that it takes on a powdery, space food quality. Frankly, I’d rather eat sand, at least there’ll be moisture from the ground.

Despite, all crimes against turkey, it is a good day. We eat, drink, play games, eat more and nap. (I like naps too!) But, best of all, it’s a day spent with family and friends. Remember that, when your brawling someone for and iPad at Walmart tonight!

Happy Thanksgiving!
